Fracking Oil Strategies Considered

It appears the oil and gas industry is getting quite good with their fracturing technologies (fracking), and it offers hope to seize some of the underground oil and gas reserves which are locked in between layers here the United States. Not long ago I was discussing this with someone who is close to the scene, and he indicated that many folks in the United States don't realize just how much oil there is underground in places like North Dakota, or how much oil in the shale there is, and he indicated to me there are massive, massive deposits laying under Montana and North Dakota - just as there are in Canada.

If you don't know much about how our technologies are able to go underground and drill sideways using a mixture of steam and chemicals to release those oil deposits, perhaps you should study up on how this is feasible between the geologic natural seams. Yes, there is quite a bit of oil, and natural gas reserves in the United States, but there are some environmentalists who are causing conflict, not just in NJ, Salton Sea, PA - no it's not just happening here in the US, but also around the planet, and in many other countries.

Just the other day there was an interesting article in Energy Daily News titled "French Lawmakers Ban On Shale Gas Tapping" - and back in the USA environmentalists are telling us to remember that the Ogallala Aquifer which is a couple of hundred or less clicks South of that area in ND perhaps with underground reservoirs moving in that direction, so, there may be folks worried about all that, we are talking major important farmland using that water to grow corn, feed, and water supply for towns, livestock, etc.

Now then, don't worry, I'm not an environmentalist, but I see storm clouds from that group of folks - incoming, and I'm just saying it will be a political hot topic. Meanwhile, the current political climate seems to be deeply against fossil fuels, in favor of alternative energy sources which will not power up our nation, satisfy our needs, or handle our demand.

These are all very serious issues, but if we can't get to the oil and gas that is trapped underground within these rocks and geologic seams without causing problems to our freshwater underground supplies and reservoirs, then that makes them on viable to be tapped. If not it means we may continually go after the oil in the Middle East which is very cheap to get out of the ground until which time those reserves are all gone, and hopefully by then we will have found a perfectly sound environmental way to use our fracking strategies. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
